Privacy Policy

HoofnHorn, LLC runs this site. The marketplace has not opened yet, so this page is short, because there is very little to tell you.
This policy covers this site only. When the marketplace opens, a fuller privacy policy covering accounts, listings, bidding and messages replaces this one at this address. We will not apply that policy to anything you gave us here without telling you first.
What we collect
If you ask to be notified
Your email address, and the date you gave it to us. That is all. We do not ask for your name, your farm, or your location, and the form does not record your IP address, your browser or where you came from.
If you apply to the affiliate program
Your name, your email address, a link to your site or channel if you give us one, and whatever you write in the message box. You choose what goes in that box, so please do not put anything in it you would not want read by a person.
What our host sees
This site is served by Cloudflare. Like every web host, their servers log the requests they answer, which includes your IP address, and they use that to keep the site up and to block attacks. We do not have a record of who visited, and we do not build one.
How we count visits
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which tells us how many people opened a page, roughly where in the world they were, and which site sent them here. It is how we find out whether anyone is finding us at all.
It works without cookies and without fingerprinting your browser, and it cannot follow you to any other site. There is no profile of you here, and there is nothing to opt out of, because there is nothing identifying you to switch off.
What we do not do
- No Google Analytics and no Meta pixel. Neither is on this site.
- No advertising cookies. Nothing here follows you to another site or builds an audience out of you.
- No cookies at all, in fact. This site does not set one, which is why you have not been asked to accept any.
If that changes before launch, this page changes with it, on the same day, and the date at the top moves.
Why we collect it
To email you once when the marketplace opens, and to answer you if you asked about the affiliate program. Nothing else. We are not building a newsletter, and we will not start sending you one on the strength of an address you gave us for a launch notice.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing. Two companies handle it on our behalf, and only to do the job we hired them for:
- Cloudflare hosts this site, stores the signup list, and counts visits as described above.
- Resend holds the same list so we can send the launch email, and delivers the affiliate enquiry to us.
We will also disclose information if the law requires it of us, which has not happened and which we would tell you about unless we were forbidden to.
How long we keep it
Until the marketplace opens and the launch email goes out, and then for up to 90 days after that in case of a delivery problem. After that, addresses that never became accounts are deleted. Affiliate enquiries we keep for as long as the conversation is live, and for 12 months after it ends.
Your choices
Email support@hoofnhorn.com and ask, and we will do it. You can ask us to:
- tell you whether we hold your address,
- correct it,
- delete it.
There is no form to fill in and no account to create. We will answer within 30 days, and in practice much sooner. The launch email will also carry an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list rather than just marking you.
Children
This site is not for children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us an email address, write to us and we will delete it.
Where your information is held
In the United States. HoofnHorn, LLC is a North Carolina limited liability company, and both companies named above process this information on servers in the United States.
Changes
If we change this policy we will change the date at the top. The significant change coming is the full marketplace policy at launch, described in the box at the top of this page.
